Contexts
The Contexts are very important in order to use Knowledge, and validate practices. And this is what is lacking in the production of psycho-social sciences insights nowadays. Theories have become Doctrines very often utilized as Dogma. The Specific is lost into Academic jargon with pseudo-scientific clothes. There's no solid thread to bring together the commonalities of different situations in order to make sense of the disparities and come up with informed practices, for the benefit of scientifically healthy interventions. It seems as if the preoccupations of Practitioners and Clients are misinformed, and the theoreticians are king. And also, the Authentic Goals become a blur and are overlooked in the confusion of the many restrained approaches with their own ideological agency, and a diluted pragmatism ensue with mitigated results, following what the conditions of pressure are.
Perspectives
The notion that a theory can articulate a problematic and leave out details deemed not to be important, because it is necessary to carve out the major lines of discourse where supposedly operational truth will emerge is relatively passé, as the availability of Big Data, makes it possible to conceive theories that are closer and closer to realities. So it is important to include the perspectives of all stakeholders and all aspects of reality in the Theoretical Process in order to arrive at User Friendly Models with Operational Insights for day to day activities as much as the direction of programs.
Epistemology
As knowledge is being questioned, it is important that the questions are rightly placed, that they address what matters, and that the language is relevant to what's really at stake, so the necessity to explore the Contexts and Perspectives beforehand. We do understand that some problematic lends itself much more to Quantification and Induction, or Hypothetico-Deduction, or even phenomenology, or qualitative dialectic in general, or some mix following the complexity of what one is studying. So the investigator has to settle on the limitations of his/her discourse and on the adapted choice, and consider using complementary methods of discussion in order to articulate a viable comprehensive approach to what is being argued scientifically.
Theories
Theories abound, and sometimes many theories offer different approaches to understand the same phenomenon in Psycho-Social Sciences. They frame their references following different Perspectives, and new theories should take these ways of seeing things into account. And if New Frames of Reference are looking to bring about new insights, they should relate where they place themselves in the Context of the existing theories, so as to make it easier for Practitioners to understand how to use the evidence the new theories are based on. Also, by doing so, it facilitates an understanding of the phenomenon or phenomena from the lenses of different Perspectives that may find relevance with the application one is looking at, with many theories sometimes being complementary for a deeper understanding, or just adding more light.
Frameworks
Analysis of the specific phenomenon being studied requires an adapted framework and there the relevant literature review can be enlightening for this specialized purpose. The analysis is thus more meaningful as it is done in both a specific context and a previously more elaborate Larger Context. As it takes shape, the Framework of Analysis will inform other subsequent frameworks that shed light on detailed aspects of the issues being investigated. These Frameworks allow for better contextualization and user friendliness of the research to Practitioners looking to use the conclusions of the study. Applications are also facilitated because phenomena are more easily compared through these frameworks of understanding and discrimination.
Modes
It is one thing to have Frameworks, and another to consider the models, habits, habitus and practices engaged into by the stakeholders of a particular investigation in pragmatic reality, notwithstanding the potential uses of the research itself. All of this add to the ethology of the researchers themselves. These considerations have to be into account in order to make it easy for Evidence Based Knowledge and Practices to be Clear and User Friendly. The Modes will lead to informed Methodology, and clearer understanding for everyone.
Methodologies
Methodologies are, more often than not, inconclusive in the Psycho-Social Sciences, and they are always to be analyzed in context. That's why they need to be specified and their results validated by reliable considerations. Contextualization is the preeminent Mode of Veracity for any use thereof and for any applications of the results. Methodologies may be complemented not only by these analyses of the results, but also by other methods used in conjunction as it is the case with Mixed Methods.
